The name "SEHAN" draws its inspiration from the renowned Korean artwork Sehando (歲寒圖). Based on Confucius' saying, "Only in the harshness of winter does one realize that pine and cypress trees remain evergreen" (歲寒然後知松柏之後凋), Sehando was created by Chusa Kim Jeong-hui (1786–1856), one of the most celebrated figures of Korean art and scholarship. This masterpiece, depicting the resilience of evergreens in the cold of winter, reflects Chusa's pursuit of excellence—achieved through a lifetime of dedication symbolized by wearing down ten inkstones and a thousand brushes.
